National Powersports Distributors (formerly The Collectable Trader) is a company founded upon the belief that everybody should have a chance to enjoy the freedom that motorcycling allows.

WHAT WE DO:

We put every motorcycle that we sell through a rigorous inspection process and you see all the results. Our full disclosure policy and comprehensive inspection process will ensure that you know everything about the vehicles that we sell. We take pride in offering our vehicles on-line, and have positioned ourselves as specialists with the process. We know that buying a vehicle sight unseen can be a scary proposition, and we are constantly working to improve our listings and provide you with honest, detailed information.

OUR STORY:

In 2002 Nathan and Amy Sanel had decided that the money they were investing into their mutual funds would be better spent buying an old motorcycle and fixing it up in their garage. From those humble beginnings National Powersports was born. Deciding to sell on the internet rather than in a traditional showroom setting allowed them to develop a comprehensive system of safety checks and condition reports that allowed their customers to know the exact condition of the motorcycle even if they were located across the country.

Originally their emphasis was on vintage bikes, but soon the requests for modern bikes started to come in from all over the world. The depth of information that was marketed about the motorcycle was something that was not being done, even in traditional dealer locations. This allowed National Powersports to begin selling all types and years of Motorcycles, ATV's, Snowmobiles, Scooters and Watercraft. Since starting, National Powersports has outgrown their location 3 times and the growth continues to this day. In 2006 they moved to 701 Riverwood Drive, Pembroke NH to a 15,000 square foot facility. In this location they opened their first true retail store.

According to Nathan Sanel, it still is not a traditional dealership. "None of our team is paid by commission. We put a full condition report on each vehicle and the price that we need to get for it. We duplicate our on-line buying experience. It's a great place to look at a huge selection of motorcycles without the pressure. Because we sell so many vehicles on-line, walk ins are not our only avenue for sales so we don't have to high-pressure the people that visit us. Our pricing is extremely competitive because we work on a smaller margin and turn our inventory more than the industry standards."

National Powersports success is due to one primary factor. The first line on the company service statement is "Tell the truth". That is the guiding principal for everything that they do. Nathan says, "At the end of the day, its not just about making money. It is about building a company that has integrity. The group of people who love riding are like family. I sleep well knowing that everybody gets treated the same way and was told the full truth about the vehicle they purchased here."

In the July 2006 Entrepreneur Magazine National Powersports was referenced in an article titled "Star Treatment" and recognized for their outstanding customer service for sales on eBay. The company has also been profiled in several books including the eBay for Dummies by Marsha Collier. The company currently has 18 employees and is experiencing excellent growth.

National Powersports is now offering layaway! You can take advantage of this program with 10% down, 10% a month and full payment by April 15th. There will be no fees or storage charges provided the terms are met and the vehicle is picked up by April 30th. FAQ

How long is the NPD Layaway contract?
Layaway contracts require payment in full by April 15th 2013 and all vehicles to be picked up by April 30th 2013 regardless of the date initiated.

What if I change my mind?
The vehicle under Layaway contract can be changed once during the contract term. A fee will apply. Should you choose to cancel your contract a cancelation fee will apply. See terms and conditions below.

Are there any fees?
There are no fees associated with using our layaway program. Please see the complete terms and conditions agreement for fees associated with late payment, late pick-up, or transfers.

Are all items eligible for layaway?
All new and used vehicles are eligible for layaway. Parts, accessories, and labor are not eligible for layaway.

What are my payments?
Monthly payments of 10% of the vehicle price are required.

What if I miss a layaway payment?
A $10.00/day late payment fee will be added. After 7 days late the contract is deemed to be in default.

What if I am unable to pick my vehicle(s) up prior to the deadline?
A $10.00/day late pick-up fee will be added and must be paid prior to pick-up.

How can I make payments?
Up to $250 of the down payment can be made with a credit card or PayPal. All subsequent monies and future payments to be received via cash, certified bank check, USPS Money Order, or a bank to bank wire transfer.

 
     
 

Terms and Conditions

Required Down Payment
10% of the total vehicle price or $250 whichever is greater. Up to $250 of the down payment can be applied using a credit card or PayPal.

Payment options
Acceptable payment methods are cash, certified bank check, USPS money order, or a bank to bank wire transfer. No other forms of payment will be accepted. Up to $250 of the down payment may be applied using a credit card or PayPal.

Payment schedule, due date and late payment fees
A monthly payment in the amount of 10% of the total vehicle price or $250 whichever is greater is due on the assigned day designated by the contract. The vehicle must be paid in full no later than April 15th 2013. A late payment fee of $10/day will be assessed starting on the 1st day late. It is the responsibility of the buyer to complete all payments prior to due date. Late payment fees will not be refunded in the event of default or cancelation of contract.

Accessories or additional repairs
Should you choose to have us perform any additional repairs or install any accessories on your vehicle, these must be paid for in full prior to being ordered or completed and are considered separate from the down payment and any subsequent monthly payments. Monies paid towards accessories or additional repairs will not be refunded in the event of default or cancelation of contract.

Storage, pick-up and late pick-up fees
The vehicle must be paid for in full by April 15th 2013 and must be picked up no later than April 30th 2013. A 24hr notice prior to pick-up is required. Storage will be assessed at $10/day starting May 1st. Storage fees will not be refunded in the event of default or cancelation of contract. All fees must be paid prior to pick-up.

Default or cancelation
The contract is deemed to be in default when any payment (down payment, monthly payment, late payment fee(s), or final payment) is found to be in excess of 7 days late. Default or cancelation of contract will result in the assessment of a fee in the amount of 10% of the value of the vehicle plus $250.

Changing vehicles during contract period
If you decide to purchase a different motorcycle after beginning this contract you will be assessed the following transfer fee; $100 if transferred during the first 30days of contract; $200 if transferred 31-60 days into contract, $300 if transferred 61-90 days into contract and $400 for any duration in excess of 90 days. Only one vehicle change is allowed per contract. This fee along with signed transfer request must be received within 7 days of decision to change vehicles. Transfer fees will not be refunded in the event of default or cancelation of contract.

Promotions
Any and all promotions available at, or during the contract period do not apply to a vehicle that is being purchased under this layaway program.
